Just to say that I'm particularly attached to the

in my namestring. Having preserved this id during two years in California
(no small feat) I wouldn't like to lose it now.
However, my welsh grandmother used to call me
Dai bach
so that's fine as an especially affectionate diminutive.
And, of course, the error message
I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that
is perfectly acceptable in any HAL9000 code that you send me.
On very rare occasions, a Haiku writer may omit the "id".
