Analytical 3D accretion disc dissipation map movie

Three-dimensional analytical accretion disc surface dissipation animation using a linear colour scale for three binary orbits. The secondary rotates anti-clockwise with respect to the inertial binary frame, with mass being added from the L1 point at the right. The dashed curve is the Roche lobe of the primary, plotted in a frame that co-rotates with the binary and the solid line is the gas stream ballistic trajectory. The arrow indicates a fixed direction to an observer.
