I'm very keen to support this initiative, and to be involved. I think it's an excellent idea, and very timely. I would like to be involved in themes 1 & 2 (in line with our new experimental capacity), 7 & 3, the latter I would interpret as being appropriate for astrophysical plasmas or advanced studies for extreme plasmas (perhaps very strongly magnetised, for example). One plasma aspect that I think is not given sufficient prominence is bio-plasmas, that is, plasmas used directly or indirectly to influence human tissue (by direct skin application, or for tissue adherence to implants, etc). Sterilisation is mentioned, but destroying bacteria with discharges is not the only role for plasmas now. Perhaps some of the topics could be changed to accommodate this? I'm happy to supply a letter of support.
