This is an exciting initiative. I suspect the proposed workshops would replace the annual TP workshop? Or do you plan to still hold that each yer. By the way I have heard no information on this year's annual meeting - have you? With regard to the proposed centre, I would certainly like to be involved; I am still invetsigating fundamental charge particle reactions - so that fits in with at least one of the themes. The document gives an extremely clear statement of why this Centre is necessary. I did find, however, that the objectives were perhaps a bit too academic. Are there any industrial objectives? How will industry be integrated into this centre? With regards to the budget, perhaps an additional £5k pa for an annual meeting - to help bring all involved together- should be considered? How about a small amount of funding to allow 1-2 day visits to other research/industrial groups within the UK? These shorter more focused meetings/collaborations are I find often more beneficial, than longer ones. I shall write a letter expressing my willingness to participate.
