News for the Non Thermal Plasma web site.

Please could you post the following :

Following the initial call for expression of interest in the workshop proposal on “Plasma Measurement

Techniques for Process Control” a meeting was organised for those that responded. This was held at

UCL on Tues 31st January 06.

The outcome of this meeting was

1 that we shall not go ahead immediately with an international workshop in view of the established

Advanced Equipment and Process Control Conference and decide if we should be more closely involved.

2. that we shall organise a UK workshop within 2006, with the emphasis on signal control of

plasma measurements. Planning for this is underway and an invitation to participate will be posted

on the web site before the end of February.

3. that we should be more “active” in the “Frontiers in Low Temperature Plasma Diagnostics” meeting

in 2007 – level to be discussed with current organisers.


I plan to be in contact again before the end of February with regard to item #2.
